OC - Denim Azure

Wow, this took a LOT longer to make than my Pyrrha picture.  I've been working on this for three days or so now, and I'm rather proud of it.  I imagine there's a lot of things I need to fix (like those monstrous hands for starters), but I'm confident that this is a good representation of my current level of art skills.

As the title suggests, this is my OC, Denim Azure.  I've never really made OCs for anything in the past, and I decided that I wanted to start learning how that works.  Since she is my first real attempt at making an OC, she's probably pretty generic compared to things made by more experienced folks.  I tried to come up with something cool anyway.  Whether that succeeded or failed is irrelevant to me at this point because I'm just happy I actually finished something.

I might end up changing her design in the future, but for now, there she is.  I'll give her more of a backstory later.

Brief History: Denim grew up in a somewhat poor family where she lived with her mom, dad and an older brother.  Her brother had a bit of a temper problem and liked to fight with her, so she learned to fight at a young age.  She usually received a lot of his hand-me-down clothes and developed a tomboyish sense of style and attitude as a result.  People in school liked to pick fights with her because of that, which only led to her further developing her fighting skills and got her in trouble more times than she would care to admit.

Despite frequently being in trouble for fighting, Denim did well in school.  She was by no means a star pupil, but she managed to make it from one school year to the next without too many problems.  She even managed to make a few friends along the way, and she's fiercely protective of them, once breaking a guy's arm for treating her closest friend in a manner she felt was "inappropriate."

When she's not out with her friends or training, Denim usually relaxes at home listening to music or playing the flute.  People often give her flak about "tough girl" who likes to play the flute, but she doesn't care.  She fell in love with the relaxing tones a flute can produce when she was very young and decided she would learn to play it.  Now, playing helps her calm down if she's had a rough day, and the music she listens to is usually pretty relaxing as well, her favorite genre being chillstep.
